CHI’s mission is to give impoverished children a chance for a brighter future.  Red Ribbon’s funds will support the New Light Clinic, which works with HIV positive pregnant women to prevent their children from getting the infection. The project serves commercial sex workers, their partners, and children in Kalighat, one of the oldest red-light districts in Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta).  The project will provide and facilitate prevention services, treatment, counseling, and nutritious meals to those in need.  Approximately 2000 brothel workers will be served and an additional 4500 family members and related individuals.
