Tom Mahoney

Tom-MahoneySince July of 1989 Tom Mahoney has been the director of the Office of Special Clinical Services for the Greenwich Department of Health. In this capacity he has had responsibility for HIV/STD prevention and testing programs, oral health, and bloodborne pathogens education. Prior to assuming his duties with the Town of Greenwich, Tom was the Resident Manager of the New Haven Ronald McDonald House, a facility that serves as a home-away-from-home for families seeking medical care for their seriously ill children.

He has earned degrees from the University of Maine and Fordham University, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Tom lives in Greenwich where he serves on several non-profit and recreational boards including Sekolo Projects, Inc., the Greenwich Coalition to Improve End of Life Care, AIDS Alliance of Greenwich, and Greenwich Basketball Association.
